Who's the event for?
Retain is for online membership site owners who are looking to focus on membership growth. The event is all about getting and keeping members, as opposed to tech or membership basics. While the focus is on online training and community based memberships, most of the information will also be relevant to other membership types.

We’ve spent years guiding the growth of thousands of memberships, e-learning businesses and online communities.
With a combined 20+ years in the online marketing and web development industry, we’ve been the driving force behind a multitude of 6 and 7 figure membership businesses in a diverse range of industries – from weight loss to coaching to executive training to bass guitar – and we have a proven track record of helping great clients to achieve fantastic results.
In 2015 we decided to take all of that knowledge and experience and use it to help entrepreneurs and small business owners to achieve success with membership sites on a global scale, and so we created Membership Academy which is now our full time business.
We’ll be leading the charge at Retain 2019 providing training throughout both days on the latest membership growth tactics and strategies, and sharing insights from our work with countless successful memberships.

What is your refund policy?
You can cancel at any time (but we hope you don’t!). If you cancel before June 10th 2019 you will receive a full refund, less any processing fees.
If you cancel from June 11th 2019 onwards you will not be eligible for a refund, but you may sell your ticket (for your purchase price or lower) or send someone in your place. If you do this please let us know the details of the new ticket holder no later than September 1st 2019 so we have their details ahead of the event.
Note: No change of names associated with tickets will be accepted after September 1st, 2019.
What's included in the ticket price?
Your completed registration includes the following:
- Access to all speaker presentations and panels throughout both days of the conference
- Small group masterminding sessions during the event with other attendees (so you can get specific advice for your membership!)
- Lunch and refreshments on both days
- Evening social on 11th September (includes food)
- Recordings of the talks so that you can listen back later
- Access to the event Facebook group to connect with other attendees
- Complimentary Wifi access in the event area
- And a few special surprises…
Note: Hotel, airfare and other travel expenses are not included in the ticket price.
I don't know anyone, will I be lonely?
We know it can be nerve wracking coming to an event on your own, but have no fear you certainly won’t be left standing in the corner with no one to talk to.
As soon as you purchase your ticket you can join our community for the event and start meeting other attendees (and of course if you’re an Academy member you’ll likely recognise many names already!).
The event itself will also be geared up to allow connection between attendees, from our pre-registration welcome drinks to a big evening social (dare we even say party?) on the 11th. And of course networking and masterminding with other attendees during the event itself.
So, even if you’re coming to Retain alone, we don’t think you’ll be alone for long!
My membership isn't launched yet - can I still attend?
If you want to get a head start on learning more about growing your membership site, absolutely!
However this is an advanced event and we won’t be covering membership basics or teaching how to create or launch your site, so if you’re only just beginning the membership journey we’d suggest focusing on that first rather than getting distracted (the Membership Roadmap in Member Site Academy is ideal for you instead)
Can I bring my spouse, business partner, staff member?
The more the merrier! However anyone attending the conference needs to have purchased a ticket.
Please note that this is an over 16’s only event.
Are there any discounts for students or charities?
No. The current individual ticket price is the one displayed on this page and is the lowest at the time of publication.
Note: The price does increase as the event gets closer, so it’s best to get a discounted price by purchasing at our ‘super early bird’ or ‘early bird’ prices.
Group Bookings: If you have a group of 10 or more people that want to attend, please feel free to reach out to us directly for more information on a group discount.
Can I buy a ticket to just one of the days of the event?
Single day tickets are not available – plus, why would you want to miss out on a full day of learning and fun, anyway!?
Will there by internet access at the conference?
Yes. Complimentary wifi is available throughout our event venue.
Are meals provided?
Lunch will be provided, along with a light breakfast and refreshments throughout the day.
There is also an extensive choice of restaurants within walking distance for making your dinner arrangements at the end of each day.
Will the event be live streamed or recorded?
We have no plans to live stream the event. However we intend to record sessions and add these to Member Site Academy in the future.
